International Fiber Art Festival 

 

The International Fiber Art Festival is a solo Exhibition of Contemporary Fiber Artists. The Fiber Art Festival is held every two years since the first exhibition was held at Hangaram Museum of art, Seoul Art Center, in 2008.

 

Our show focused on young artists with experimental ideas and diverse techniques. Their works expand the boundary of fiber art to painting, crafts, sculpture, installation, architecture, fashion design and multimedia platforms.

 

In more than 10 years, the participants have expanded from people of Seoul province to those of the whole country and then to several countries in Asia and North America. More than 200 artists have participated in the exhibition and the number of audiences exceeds. As an art platform for cultural exchanges between contemporary international artists, the exhibition helps young artists with opportunities to introduce themselves to the art field and further broaden the Fiber Artists’ influence in the contemporary art world.
